Inward Bloom
The Brief
This artwork explores the profound geography of the self. The creative objective was to visualize self-love not as a passive state, but as an active, daily practice of cultivation. The brief demanded a visual metaphor for "diving deep"—the act of reaching into one's own soul to plant seeds of acceptance. It is a study on the duality of existence (Yin and Yang) and the gratitude found in emotional autonomy.
The Concept
The composition centers on a surreal interaction: disembodied arms reaching inward,
symbolizing the conscious effort to tend to one's own heart. They are not merely holding
flowers; they are planting them.
The vibrant orange lilies represent the blossoming of the self—the direct result of this
internal care. To balance this grounding energy, I incorporated a bird in mid-flight and
delicate paint splatters, serving as symbols of the freedom that comes from
self-acceptance. The butterfly resting on the finger acts as a subtle nod to
transformation. The result is a visual hymn to the quiet, powerful work of blooming from
the inside out.
