Sweet Balance
The Brief
This piece emerged from a personal challenge of free association: translating abstract words into an instant visual narrative. Starting with contrasting themes — lightness and strength, dreams and shadows, the discipline of the black swan — the goal was not hyper-realism, but to exercise creative intuition. It was a sprint to silence the inner critic through the act of play.
The Concept
The composition explores playful surrealism. The ballerina, a symbol of discipline and
endurance, finds her stage atop a giant lollipop, grounding the piece in sweetness and
fun.
For the costume, I replaced the classic tulle with the organic texture of a flower,
which fit the movement as naturally as a skirt. The monochromatic pink palette, expanded
from the candy itself, creates an immersive, feminine universe. I finished with digital
paint splatters to add depth and celebrate the imperfect gesture. This collage is about
the permission to play —bypassing strict lighting rules to focus purely on the joy of
composition.
